What if a sign company quoting my job is not licensed?
These companies do work after 5pm.A non licensed sign company can not obtain permits from a City or County. Any work performed by them is illegal. What if a sign company quoting my job is not insured?
In most cases, the landlord or your insurance company will insist on a Certificate of Insurance before allowing a vendor to work on their property. This is essential to protect your interests in the event of any accident or injury.
I need some repair work on my sign. Can I get my handyman to do the repairs?
Only a licensed Journey Man under the supervision of a Master Sign Electrician is permitted to work on an electrical sign.
How will the new Sign-Ordinance effect my business after Sept 1, 2009?
New Construction Signs will need to comply with new updated ordinance. Any sign application that is given a project number before Sept 1. will be grandfathered in.Meaning all old codes apply to them. The City of Houston is working overtime to make sure all permits are expedited as fast as possible before deadlines. Depending on location and type of sign you may want to have for your business will determine how this new sign ordinance will effect you.

This will depend on the sign you have. Most sign companies will warranty your sign for six months.
Future Sign Company has a warranty of one year after installation!Some warranty contracts can last up to 7 years!
